Request a Letter of Recommendation

Please submit one request for each program or position, at least 3 weeks before the deadline. Questions marked * are required. You'll get a confirmation email once it's submitted.

About you
So I refer to you correctly in the letter (e.g. she/her, he/him, they/them).
I'll use this to contact you; it will still work after you graduate.
Your work with me
List each course and the term you took it, e.g. "Cultural Anthropology - Fall 2024".
Advisee, research assistant, TA, independent study, club or trip I led, etc.
Help me write a specific, persuasive letter. Consider: Which classes, projects, papers, or moments with me should I highlight? What does this program or position value, and how do you show it? What strengths or qualities do you want emphasized? Is there context I should know (challenges overcome, first-generation status, a career change)?
The opportunity
Copy and paste from their website.
Deadline and submission
Please give me at least 3 weeks. If your deadline is sooner, submit this form and also email me directly.
Who the letter should be addressed to, if known.
Under FERPA you may see letters in your file unless you waive that right. Waiving is customary: admissions committees and employers give more weight to confidential letters because they are seen as more candid, and many recommenders prefer it. It's your choice, and I'll write a strong letter either way.
Your materials
Drafts are fine. You can select several files.
